Sometimes it’s easier and more beneficial to purchase an existing radio station. There are many reasons to purchase a station as opposed to seeking a new license. You don’t need to maneuver through the FCC’s system to secure the license for one. And then you also avoid tasks of securing tower space, equipment, employees, etc. It’s all done for you. You just walk in an take over. This is the most expensive, yet quickest way to get into the radio business. It’s not for everyone, but there are some good deals available from time to time.
